Zak’s support and programs are an important part of my mental and physical health, daily and weekly. I've known Zak for years, as a co-worker, equity activist, and dear friend.
When Covid hit and I didn’t see myself returning to my fitness center anytime soon so I jumped into the online support and programs he offered. He got to know my fitness and health goals, the equipment and workout set up I have at home (which has evolved with my interests and strength), and what types of exercises energize and challenge me. We continually figure out, together, what keeps me motivated and diligent in the workouts he creates.
I look forward to our weekly touch bases to ask questions, learn from Zak, but really I need and rely on them to hold me accountable. After 3 years, I feel stronger, more confident, and work through stress and anxiety in life and work in a much healthier way.

Zak clearly has a great deal of knowledge to share with his clients and is eager to share it in a way that never feels overwhelming. He's got great intuition and knows best how to share information in a manner and style that matches whoever he's working with. He can be tough when he needs to be, sets guidelines and boundaries well, and is keenly observant in a way that allows him to adjust programming to the client's needs. I've never dreaded a workout from Zak's program and he's always made me look forward to our check-ins. Zak's warm, caring and open nature make him stand apart from other fitness professionals because, while he is results driven and health focused, he takes time to understand where his clients are coming from on an emotional level. The overall result is a fitness program that feels more like a supportive relationship rather than a product or a task. Also, if you're into butt stuff (or arm stuff), he's your guy.
